
At this point the teacher will put you in group of three. You will work together to complete the following tasks.
Do the steps in order.
Step1: Collect information about the planets.
Each member will be responsible for collecting information about their planet.
a. Start collecting data. Print the data collection sheet.

b. Click on a Web Site link. Read the information and write some notes.
c. When you have finished reading the first Web Site, view another Web site link and read the information and see if there is any new information that should be added to your answer.
d. Make your final paragraph about your planet. Don’t forget to write the interesting facts about your planet that makes it unique and special.
e. Meet up with your team and share what information you have collected about your planet. Discuss and ask for opinions.

Step 3: Peer conference
After the research is completed, students have a peer conference to edit the rough draft, share their findings and recommendations.

Create an online power point presentation on your chosen environmental issue to persuade people to take action and to make recommendations for how the issue should be addressed.

Each team is required to create a video about their chosen topic. Use Animoto to create your video.
Step 5: Making the puppets. All materials are provided.
Follow the following instructions:
-Make the puppets with your group.
-The head of each puppet should be made from a Styrofoam ball.
-The head of the puppet should represent the planet.
-You will be required to paint or spray the head according to the colour of your planet.
-Use the information that you have gathered about your planet in step 1. You may include other features.
